Psalm 3

O Lord, how many are my foes,
how powerful are those
who rise up to oppose and oppress me.
A multitude declares,
while mockers stop and stare,
"Your God he does not care, he will not save!"

CHORUS:
But you are a shield about me,
my Glory and the lifter of my head.
And though ten thousand foes surround me,
I will safely sleep and rise again.
To you I cry aloud and am not still,
And you hear my plea and answer me
from Zion's hill.

See how they stand on every side
in scorn and full of pride,
and hear how they deride your anointed!
Arise, O Lord of all, to you alone I call.
Let every rebel fall beneath your feet.

CHORUS:
For you are a shield about me,
my Glory and the lifter of my head.
And though ten thousand foes surround me,
I will safely sleep and rise again.
O Lord, deliverance comes from you alone.
May your grace and blessing always rest
upon your own.
