Come gather all,
on a winter's morn,
As we recall
how our Lord was born:
To a world full of hate,
so bitter and cold,
The Savior came,
as the prophets had foretold.
Those who waited long
in the darkest night
Heard the angel song,
saw the glorious light.
"Do not fear, lowly ones!
God answers your cries:
Your Redeemer has come;
in a manger bed he lies."
In the distant east
his Star arose--
God declaring peace
to his ancient foes.
Let the world now draw near
to Bethlehem,
Bow in wonder and fear
to the Master of all men.
So as we come
on this winter's morn,
Let us blow the trumpet
and sound the horn!
All you ends of the earth,
God's praises sing,
And rejoice at the birth
of the heavenly King!
